Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of MyChromaTime at mychromatime.com and related installs of the app. The app is published by NeonGold LLC (neongold.gold). By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. This page is written in plain language and is not legal advice.

1. The service

MyChromaTime is a personal time-tracking application that lets you log activities in 30-minute blocks, track metrics, view stats, and optionally sync data across your devices when you sign in. The app may be offered as a website and/or installable progressive web app (PWA).

2. Beta / evolving software

The app may be labeled beta or otherwise change frequently. Features can be added, changed, or removed. Sync behavior currently uses a last-write-wins model: if you edit the same data on two devices before they sync, newer cloud writes can overwrite older ones. Keep JSON backups if your data is important to you.

3. Accounts and cloud sync

Local use does not require an account. Optional cloud sync uses Sign in with Apple or Google through our auth/database provider (Supabase). You are responsible for:

• Keeping your Apple or Google account secure
• Activity under your signed-in session
• Not attempting to access other users’ data or abuse the service

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms are being violated or if the service is being abused.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you enter (activities, notes, metrics, and related data). You grant us permission to host and process that content as needed to provide cloud sync and operate the service when you enable sync. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you store and for not uploading unlawful content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break or circumvent security or access controls
• Probe, overload, or disrupt the service or its providers
• Use the service for unlawful purposes
• Misrepresent your identity to gain unauthorized access

6. Third-party services

The app relies on third parties such as hosting (Netlify), authentication/database (Supabase), Sign in with Apple, Google sign-in, and store billing. Their terms and privacy policies also apply to their processing. We are not responsible for outages or changes by those providers. Optional Advanced Stats is sold as an In-App Purchase through those stores.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim (if any) or (b) USD $0 if the app is provided free of charge.

9. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the app, your content, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. It is part of how we describe the service; use of the app is also subject to that policy.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and sign out of cloud sync.
